Ron Field

b. 1934, NEW YORK, NY, USA, d. 6 Feb 1989, NEW YORK, NY, USA. As a kid actor Field produced his 1st appearance on Broadway in Woman AT NIGHT (1941). He was an associate from the chorus for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1949), Kismet (1954) as well as the Boy Friend (1954). From the 60s Field was founded like a choreographer and in this capability done Nowhere But Up (1962), Café Crown (1964) and Cabaret (1966), earning a Tony Honor for the second option. More success was included with his choreography for Zorba (1968, Tony-nominated), and Applause (1970, earning Tony honours as movie director and choreographer). His movies included NY, NY (1977), Ruler Of Hearts (1978) and Flawlessly Frank (1980). Additionally, Field choreographed Chita Rivera’s work in the Grande Finale at New York’s Western 70th Road in the wintertime of 1974/5. Apparently but uncredited he done the 1979 revival of Peter Skillet, and began but was changed on Merrily We Move Along (1981). Over time, Field helped create choreography for most noted dancers, included in this Fred Astaire, Ray Bolger, Cyd Charisse, Gene Kelly and Tommy Melody. Additionally, Field staged spectaculars in NEVADA, five Oscar presentations and 3 years each of Tony and Emmy presentations.
