Ron Conner

Ron Conner is a composer, article writer, pianist, and Brazilian ethnomusicologist surviving in LA. He has journeyed thoroughly throughout Brazil, learning its music and vocabulary, and has released several content articles about metropolitan samba in Rio de Janeiro, post-slavery Afro-Bahian musical migrations and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira). Before he found out Brazil, Ron spent almost a year in Eastern European countries researching and composing a musical stage theatre about the Dec 1989 trial and execution of Romania’s stupendously cruel dictator, Nicolae Ceausescu. The effect, “Nov Ceausescu,” was lately (finally!) created having a Broadway-veteran solid at the LA Theater Middle with Ron directing.
