Ron Affif

The nephew of guitarist Ron Anthony (who used George Shearing and Frank Sinatra), Ron Affif received his first guitar lesson from his uncle when he was 12. After senior high school, he relocated to LA in 1984, using Dick Berk, Dave Pike, Pete Christlieb, and Jack port Sheldon and documenting a quartet day for the R.A. Information label in 1987. 2 yrs later, he relocated to NY and offers since worked mainly as a innovator. Affif, a fantastic bop-based guitarist whose design was influenced a little by Joe Move and George Benson (both of whom subsequently loved his playing), offers recorded several amazing albums for Pablo.
