Roger Wolfe Kahn

Bandleader Roger Wolfe Kahn was created Oct 19, 1907 in Morristown, NJ; the kid of multi-millionaire Otto Kahn, he started playing the violin at age group seven, and during the period of his lifestyle mastered more than a dozen equipment. In 1923 he produced his initial orchestra, playing just the most exceptional New York locations during the 10 years to follow; along with his family’s tremendous wealth to back again him, Kahn could recruit the best possible music artists, and his aptly-named Mil Dollar Music group variously employed famous brands Joe Venuti, Eddie Lang, Artie Shaw, Jack port Teagarden and Gene Krupa. After documenting some schedules for the Victor label between 1925 and 1932, in 1935 Kahn’s curiosity turned from music to aviation, and he afterwards worked being a check pilot; he passed away in NEW YORK on July 12, 1962.
