b. USA. Singing having a tough-edged tone of voice that was suitable to hillbilly music, Morris experienced a distinctive design. However, the big-time remained elusively out of reach although he documented along with his Missourians for Capitol Information in the first 50s. Among the game titles he recorded you will find ‘Cold, Chilly, Cornbread’, ‘Don’t DEFER Right up until Tomorrow (YOU SKILL Today)’, ‘Totally free, White (Smart) And Twenty One’, ‘Hey Mister Mocking Parrot’, ‘Honey, Honey, Honey’, ‘Everything TO REDUCE, Nothing at all To Gain’, ‘I’m NOT REALLY A Child Anymore’, ‘That’s COULD TRY You’, ‘No one House’, ‘Ten TO 1 I REALLY LIKE You’ and ‘Bimbo’. Using the second option song, Morris shown that he was also a reliable composer. Aside from documenting ‘Bimbo’ himself, the music was also documented around once by Gene Autry. Later on, this music was documented by many, with Jim Reeves’ edition proving to become especially popular. Additional songs that Morris is acknowledged include ‘North Blowing wind’, documented by Slim Whitman, and ‘I’m Arriving Over Tonight’, documented by Small Jimmy Dickens. After his spell with Capitol, Morris created his personal label, Ludwig Information, that he documented ‘Alabama Jail Home Blues’, ‘Ghost Of Casey Jones’, ‘I Resided USING THE Angels’, ‘Bony Eye Of Blue’ and ‘Heartbreak Notice’. Most of his Capitol recordings plus many of his Ludwig edges have already been reissued by Carry Family Information.
