The isolation from the Rocky Boy Reservation, Montana’s smallest reservation, house from the Chippewa Cree tribe, in the Bear’s Paw Mountains of north central Montana, continues to be cited as a significant element in the preservation from the tribe’s traditional music and cultural heritage. The Rocky Boy Performers have been writing their music with the exterior world because the early ’90s. Their debut record, Montana Homeland, premiered by SOAR (Sound of America Information) in 1995.
