Created Edward W. Robbins, Jr. in Minneapolis, balladeer Rockie Robbins started singing young. Working with famous arranger/makers Richard Evans (Natalie Cole, Peabo Bryson) and Johnny Pate (Curtis Mayfield as well as the Impressions, Lonette McKee, OKeh Information), Robbins produced an extraordinary debut on his self-titled LP, that was released in the springtime of 1979 on A&M Information.
