Robyn Sherwell

Soulful singer/songwriter Robyn Sherwell kickstarted her music career by shifting in one island to some other. Born and elevated on the small isle of Guernsey, she transferred to the U.K. to review Background and Politics at Warwick School, but finished up shifting to London to pursue her accurate music passions. Using a history in choir, the multi-instrumentalist enticed interest from record brands after posting addresses on YouTube, putting your signature on with Birdland Information in 2013. Her confessional lyrics, vocal gymnastics, and passionate delivery evoked the grandeur of contemporaries like Jessie Ware and Florence Welch, while her music made a vibe comparable to Birdy or Bat for Lashes. She documented her debut EP, Like Someone, in 2014 and highlighted on “Such as a Darkness” by dance duo Toyboy & Robin. She inserted the studio room with David Kosten (Bat for Lashes, Everything Everything) to record her first full-length. The self-titled debut premiered in March 2016 and highlighted the empowering tribal one “Islander,” an ode to her Guernsey root base.
