Robert Robinson

This trombonist was an associate of Spike Jones and the town Slickers during 1946 and 1947, the first 2 yrs of real success for the band. He previously started out skillfully in the music group of Jan Savitt and acquired also performed trombone in the Surroundings Force band. Pursuing his participation with Jones, he trapped to middle of the street big music group music, including gigs with Billy Might, Matty Melnick, and Harry Adam. He also performed Dixieland jazz in the combo of trumpeter Crimson Nichols. If the employer was Jones or Adam, though, it had been the drudgery of touring that surely got to Robinson. In the first ’60s he found a steady work that provided the very best of both worlds, playing both little combo Dixieland and big music group music and never have to keep town. This wish gig occurred over the premises of Disneyland, where Robinson became utilized within the Magic Kingdom’s home orchestra.
