Emerging within the same mid-noughties period as James Blunt, Daniel Powter, and James Morrison, Norwegian Robert Post was another singer/songwriter whose appear was steeped within the common AOR from the ’70s. Delivered in the tiny community of Langevag in 1979, Post was a jobbing musician for quite some time but got his big break throughout a stint being a taxi cab driver, whenever a record firm executive overheard one of is own demos playing in the automobile. After putting your signature on to Mercury, he released his debut EP, JUST HOW WE HAVE BEEN, in 2004, and documented his full-length self-titled record with manufacturer Mike Hedges (Manic Road Preachers) a season later. After helping Aimee Mann and Tx on the U.K. travels, he scored a hit one with “Got non-e,” won two Spellemannprisen Honours (the Norwegian exact carbon copy of the Grammys), and performed with Rufus Wainwright and Imogen Heap on the 2006 Sundance Film Celebration. His self-produced sophomore record, Disarm & RELEASE, arrived in 2009.
