The traditions of classical music are combined with improvisation of and technical skills of jazz to generate the imaginative music of New York-born and Switzerland-based flute player, Robert Dick. Explaining himself as “a musician with twenty-first hundred years abilities and eighteenth hundred years behaviour,” Dick is constantly on the pioneer a fresh part for the flute in contemporary music.
