Robby Offer is a guy who doesn’t end. He’s constantly associated with music, whether using a music group or recording in the home on his four-track. The Memphis citizen was guitarist/vocalist for Big Ass Vehicle from 1992-2001. During Big Ass Truck’s downtime from touring and documenting their third record, Offer began writing music for himself and documenting them on the four-track in his house. While on tour, Offer left a duplicate of the documented demos with Yep Roc’s Tor Hansen when he remained at Hansen’s home, in whose cellar Yep Roc was located at that time. The effect was Unleavened Loaf of bread, which Yep Roc released in 1997. Because the operate of Big Ass Vehicle officially found an end, Offer has concentrated his period, energy, and musical initiatives on two tasks — Vending Machine and Mouserocket. Offer represents Vending Machine as “fundamentally a refinement” of what he began with Unleavened Loaf of bread — what’s mostly a single, self-released project. Offer released three albums in 2000 as Vending Machine, which appeared by himself Chocolate Guitar Information. A fresh Vending Machine record is certainly likely to drop in early 2007. Offer started using Memphis indie rockers Mouserocket in 2002 as well as the group expects release a its sophomore record on Seattle’s Clear Information in early 2007.
