Robbie Lane & the Disciples

Originally Ronnie Hawkins’ backup band, Robbie Lane & the Disciples later on gained attention mainly because the band for Canadian CBC-TV’s It’s Taking place. Made up of guitarist Terry Bush, drummer Doug Copeland, harmonica participant William Cudmore, keyboardist Paul Denyef, vocalist Robbie Street, tenor saxophonist Paul Mifsud and bassist Gene Monitor, the group documented several singles through the middle-’60s. After an unsuccessful single profession in the middle-’70s, Robbie Street (aka Robin Curry) as well as the music group re-formed in the middle-’80s.
