Rob Skane

Performing around Albany, NY, Rob Skane continues to be compared to an early on Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Costello with regards to lyrical strength and delivery. In 1994, Skane released Throwing EVERYTHING BACKUP, a single acoustic and cassette-only launch. In 1997, after touring round the golf club circuit and coffeehouses, Skane released his first full-length recording, Nowheresville. The recording received praise because of its simpleness and songwriting. Skane also performed within local Albany rings during this time period, including Dugans as well as the Yard Sausages. In 2002, he released SelfNoise, his second recording. He considers his music “garagefolkrocknroll” and continues to be dubbed as the Ace Frehley of Albany by musical peers. He also performs at numerous musical meetings and vocalist/songwriter sessions.
