Rob McColley

Alternate rock musician Rob McColley was raised in Champaign, IL. The flourishing alternative-pop/rock and roll environment of Wilco and performers around the Parasol label like Doleful Lions lent McColley an extremely eclectic method of music, as do being elevated by an archive collector and music critic. He released his first recording, Juicy (a/k/a A Boy Called Laurie) in March 2003 around the Legal Information imprint while operating like a bartender at a Champaign live music golf club. The diverse, uncommon album received him reviews that are positive in the indie community; he backed its launch with acoustic tour times in California as well as the midwest.
