Roadstar

Originally forming in the past due ’80s, Roadstar were area of the Australian power-pop clique located in the town of Perth. Along with fellow scenesters the Cherrytones, Roadstar induced a power of early punk and mod affects that appeared to Husker Du as well as the Jam. Regular break-up and staff changes would continue steadily to haunt the music group until 1995 when Roadstar ultimately settled using the line-up of Paul Colombini (acoustic guitar), Nic O’Connor (drums), Brett Alderson (acoustic guitar/ vocals) and Glenn Tweedie (bass/ vocals). Using the personnel finally put together, Spinning Top Information debuted Roadstar’s first EP, At Breakneck Rate, in 1996.
