When NY City-based DJ/manufacturer Henry Steinway combines hip-hop and electro for the genre referred to as “snare,” he dons the moniker RL Dirt. After debuting the task in 2011 with some Internet uploads, RL Dirt became official using the Grapes EP, released in 2012 by Wedidit Collective. Even more free uploads implemented, including bootleg remixes of Rihanna’s “Pour It Up,” Key Keef’s “Sosa,” and Kanye West’s “Mercy.” In 2013, the Fool’s Silver label released the Great Beams EP using a visitor appearance from rapper Issue. The record Void implemented in 2014 and highlighted rapper Big Sean, EDM group Guys Noize, and indie action How to Outfit Well. A remix record followed, as do collaborations using what So Not really and Skrillex. The single single “Aurora” made an appearance in 2016, accompanied by “Reims” in 2017.
