River City Tanlines

Acquiring their cues from 1970s punk, Runaways-influenced hard rock and roll, and North Mississippi blues, the River City Tanlines produced in the ashes of several local rings in Memphis, Tennessee. Vocalist/guitarist Alicja Trout — a recognised songwriter with ties to such Memphis-based groupings as the Shed Sounds, Destruction Device, Black Weekend, and Mouserocket — founded the trio in the first 2000s with help from bassist Terrence Bishop and drummer John Bonds, both of whom acquired previously performed alongside Delta blues performers. The band’s synthesis of punky blues and garage area rock discovered a devoted market in Memphis, as well as the River Town Tanlines captured their build on the 2005 self-titled full-length, implemented a year afterwards by I’m Your Detrimental. Trout’s duties working Contaminated Information and playing in Dark Weekend and Mouserocket prevailed on the next couple of years, as third record Coast to Coastline arrived in summer months 2012.
