River Town Rebels formed from the unlikely city of Burlington, VT, in later 1997. With the initial associates of guitarist Dan “Bopper” O’Day and drummer Erik Schmidt and bassist Chris Jukosky, River Town Rebels would withstand several lineup adjustments before settling down with Ward Aimi (vocals), Brandon Rainier (trombone), Gabe Full (electric guitar), and Dan McCool (trumpet). Producing a audio of road punk, ska undertones, along with a politically motivated lyrical articles, Victory Records ultimately released River City’s debut full-length, Racism, Religious beliefs, and Battle…, in 2000. Playin’ to reside, Livin’ to try out appeared another summer, and the band’s lineup was decrease to six with O’Day picking right up vocal responsibilities. Their third full-length, No Great VIRTUALLY NO TIME No Pride, implemented in Oct 2002, which in turn transitioned in to the classic N.Con.C. punk noises (a lot more NY Dolls compared to the Clash these times) of 2004’s Hate to become Loved.
