Atmospheric folk-rock quartet River Town People was shaped in Liverpool, Britain in 1986 by vocalist Siobhan Maher, guitarist Tim Speed, his drummer brother Paul, and bassist Dave Snell. After creating a faithful local pursuing, the group documented a demonstration tape which led to an invitation to seem on Route 4’s The Graph Show; immediately after River Town People authorized to EMI, issuing their debut solitary “(What’s Wrong With) Thinking?” in middle-1989.
