Rival Sons

Based in sunlit LA, California, Rival Sons evoke the bluesy rock of rings like Led Zeppelin as well as the Dark Crowes. Shaped in 2008, the quartet of Scott Vacation (acoustic guitar), Robin Everhart (bass), Mike Miley (drums), and Jay Buchanan (vocals) catches that massively large, guitar-driven classic rock and roll audio, with rock-solid drumming and a riff-oriented method of songwriting burning Buchanan’s soaring vocals. Soon after developing, the music group self-released its debut, Prior to the Fire, in ’09 2009, made by Dave Cobb. The quartet got some publicity when its music “Inform Me Something” was found in an advertisement marketing campaign for Indy car race, and the next year they opened up for a few high-profile works, including hard rock and roll legends Alice Cooper and AC/DC. That same calendar year, Rival Sons produced the unlikely leap to extreme steel label Earache, who agreed upon the music group after sounding their music online. In 2011, the music group released its follow-up record (and initial physical discharge), Pressure & Period, with artwork by Surprise Thorgerson. It had been voted Classic Rock and roll magazine’s number 2 album of the entire year. These were also asked by Amy Lee to tour the U.S. with her music group Evanescence. They stuck with the traditional rock and roll riffs and blues-influenced audio on the third record, Mind Down, that was released in 2012 to popular vital acclaim and was a humble strike locally and in European countries; its greatest achievement is at Scandinavia, where it strike the very best 20 in three countries, including lots six chart placement in Sweden. Competitor Sons toured intensely in support, playing the Download Celebration and helping Kiss and Sammy Hagar. Because of the rigors of touring, Everhart still left the music group in past due 2013 and was changed by Dave Beste. Their 4th full-length, Great Traditional western Valkyrie, was documented in early 2014 in Nashville with Dave Cobb making. It was released in June. Competitor Sons reconvened with Cobb in Nashville to record their 5th album, Hollow Bone fragments. The pre-release one, “Hollow Bone fragments, Pt. 1” was streamed to the web in March, 2016. Entitled Hollow Bone fragments the recording — again offering Thorgerson’s artwork — premiered in June. Along with eight originals, it included a cover edition “Dark Coffee,” compiled by Ike & Tina Turner and immortalized by Humble Pie.
