Rita Redshoes

Rita Redshoes can be an acclaimed Portuguese alternative pop singer/songwriter who made her TOP hit single album debut in 2008 with Golden Period. Created Rita Pereira and hailing from Loures, Portugal, she started her musical profession in the past due ’90s as the vocalist of the music group Atomic Bees. The music group released an recording, Love Sounds and Kisses (2000), and opened up for the Cranberries in Lisbon before dissolving. In following years, Rita performed piano for vocalist/songwriter David Fonseca on his 2003 tour and was presented on the music “Keep Still” from his recording Our Hearts Will Defeat as you (2006). She produced her full-length single recording debut as Rita Redshoes in 2008 with Golden Period. A HIGH Ten hit over the Portuguese albums graph, Golden Period spawned numerous strike singles (“Hey Tom,” “Wish on Gal,” “THE START Melody,” “Chose Appreciate”) and gained Rita a nomination for Greatest Portuguese Act on the 2008 MTV European countries Music Awards. Made by Rita together with Nélson Carvalho, Golden Period features efforts from backing music artists Filipe Monteiro (electric guitar, keyboards), Nuno Simõha sido (bass), and Sérgio Nascimento (drums).
