Riot Squad

This U.K. punk music group were only available in 1981 in Manchester and released some intense and politically volatile EPs with tunes like “Civil Damage,” “Unite & Battle,” and “Hate regulations.” Vocalist Dunk Mason released a number of the information on his Rot label, ultimately collecting them on the full-length entitled There Ain’t Zero Solution. Most of Riot Squad’s recordings became extremely collectable among Oi! and punk enthusiasts in the ensuing years. A Compact disc collection, appropriately entitled Total Punk Collection, was released in the ’90s by Anagram Information. Like many Oi! groupings, their concerts had been harmful affairs and, in conjunction with an ever changing lineup, they dropped momentum and drifted aside in 1984.
