A France rapper known for utilizing the regional road slang dubbed “verlan” — a method where syllables are inverted like in backslang or pig Latin — Ridan found popularity in 2004, the entire year he released his debut album, Le Rêve Ou la Vie, which featured the hit one “Le Quotidien.” 3 years afterwards he came back with L’Ange de Mon Démon, a more serious record that asked younger generation to carry onto hope within an increasingly turbulent globe.
