The working name of Finnish drum’n’bass artist and DJ Riku Pentti (who also goes on the name Infekto), Rico Tubbs — never to be confused using the Philip Michael Thomas character on Miami Vice, but certainly an association in spirit will need to have been there — is a force around the electronic, dance, and hip-hop scenes in his native Finland from 1994 on. Furthermore to his formidable scratching abilities, Tubbs is usually co-founder from the breakbeat label Pyssy and one-half from the hip-hop duo Skillsters.
