Peterson is an excellent keyboard participant from a music family members. His technique merges blues, rock and roll, and traditional jazz noises, somewhat within the vein of George Benson however, not as pop-oriented. In 1991, he released a documenting on Mesa/Bluemoon entitled Smile Blue, with brothers Billy and Paul within the ensemble. Following albums within the ’90s included 1995’s Rip Can Inform and 1999’s Souvenir. Through the 2000s he provides appeared on many CDs by both jazz and pop performers, including Stevie Nicks, John Mayer, David Sanborn, Jessy J, Kirk Whalum, Al Jarreau, Patti Austin, and Larry Carlton.
