Rick Neufeld studied structures at the School of Manitoba but later on made a decision to pursue a profession in music. After playing coffeehouses around Canada as well as the U.S., he got his very own Television show, The Songsingers, over the Canadian CBC network. Hiway Kid, his first record, made an appearance in 1971. Two albums implemented: Prairie Pup in 1975 and Manitoba Music three years afterwards.
