Richard Ruane

Vermont folksinger/multi-instrumentalist Richard Ruane, that has been participating in music since he was an adolescent, started out within the acoustic quartet Feast or Famine within the 1980s, composing a lot of the group’s music; managing a almost all the business lead vocals; and playing mandolin, mandola, acoustic guitar, and percussion. The group regularly toured the Northeast and Midwest and released two albums, like the Philo Information’ launch Brecon Beacon. From then on, Ruane helped type the globe beat-minded Sundog, once again managing a lot of the business lead vocals and songwriting (and playing electrical mandolin). That group released one documenting. Subsequently, he switched his focus on fatherhood and retired from touring, concentrating on the neighborhood Vermont music picture. Ruane helped begin the Ripton Community Espresso Home (a concert series), created a sound organization, and has offered on the panel of directors of two music series/celebrations in Middlebury, VT.
