Jazz bassist Richard Bona was created and raised in the Western world African country of Cameroon, heading on to program schedules with Joe Zawinul, Regina Carter, and Bob Adam and a two-year stint seeing that musical movie director for the fantastic Harry Belafonte. He produced his debut being a headliner in 1999 with Moments from MY ENTIRE LIFE, and 2 yrs later Reverence arrived. In 2003, Bona produced his Verve debut with Munia: The Story, which explored the territories of rock and roll and jazz while keeping his Western world African affects, and 2005’s Toto Bona Lokua was a joint work with Lokua Kanza (in the Congo) and Gerald Toto (from Martinique). In 2006, Tiki, offering guest performers like John Star and Djavan, premiered.
