Rice, Rice, Hillman & Pedersen

Although their name continues to be likened to an attorney, Rice, Rice, Hillman & Pederson are not a stodgy couple of bookworms. The seed products from the acoustic nation/newgrass group had been planted in Sept 1963 when brothers Larry and Tony Grain, Chris Hillman, and Supplement Pedersen all performed in a bluegrass festival in Pasadena, CA. Thirty-three years afterwards, the four emerged together over the loose periods of From the Woodwork on Rounder Information in 1997. Previous Byrd Hillman has electric guitar and mandolin, classical guitar hero Tony Grain (who was simply the initial guitarist for J.D. Crowe & the brand new South) also sings, Tony’s sibling Larry has mandolin and electric guitar, and previous Laurel Canyon Rambler Supplement Pedersen picks the banjo and the casual guitar. Furthermore to all of the instrumentation, each member will take start vocals, making for the diverse change from melody to song, in addition to some rich general harmonies. Their self-titled second record made an appearance in 1999, and another 2 yrs afterwards, they released the warm acoustic Working Wild.
