Rhodes Scholars

The later-’60s Georgian band Rhodes Scholars played pop-soul-rock with horns, within a somewhat similar style towards the Buckinghams or a few of early Chicago’s more pop-oriented songs. For a while, their lineup included drummer Jimmy Sossamon, who’d experienced the somewhat even more well-known NEW YORK garage/psych music group the Cykle, who released an obscure past due-’60s album. Several Rhodes Scholars monitors appeared over the Cykle compilation Compact disc Cykle Featuring: the CHILDREN.
