Reykjavík Chamber Orchestra

Led by Rut Ingólfsdóttir, the Reykjavik Chamber Orchestra was produced in 1974 by several experienced musicians who had been members from the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and trained on the Reykjavik University of Music. The group performs a wide repertoire of chamber music in the Baroque period to modern works, and they have commissioned and performed essential functions by Icelandic composers. The ensemble provides documented for Smekkleysa, CPO, and Music from Iceland.
