Reuben

Straddling steel and hardcore punk, United kingdom trio Reuben started with Jamie Lenman and Jon Pierce, two friends who was simply playing in rings together given that they had been 13. In 1998, they recruited drummer Jason Wilcox, shaped a group known as Angel, and started playing local displays and launching demos. Wilcox still left the music group in 2000 and was changed by Tag Lawton; the group would alter its name to Reuben a season afterwards. After Lawton made a decision to go to university, the music group was again searching for a percussionist. Man Davis relocated from periodic fill-in to long term member, as well as the trio released its 1st single, “Frightened of the authorities,” in March of 2002. The video for the track was found by MTV2, revealing Reuben to a countrywide target audience and catapulting them in to the spotlight. Not surprisingly initial success, discussions between Reuben and impartial studios continually dropped through — while they continuing release a singles on several labels, they continued to be an unsigned music group. In the summertime of 2003, Reuben self-financed and documented their 1st album, Racecar Is usually Racecar Backwards, using the intention of liberating it around the Integrity label. Once more negotiations dropped through, and only 1 single, “Stuck in my own Throat,” premiered through the business. The recording was ultimately released in July 2004 on Xtra Mile, an imprint from the band’s press company and funded by SINE, an unbiased arm of Sony. Reuben spent all of those other year on the headlining tour and came back to the studio room at the start of 2005; their second album, EXTREMELY FAST Very Dangerous, premiered in September from the same year. It marketed well, however, not sufficiently for Sony to recoup its purchase — the business didn’t allocate any longer cash to Xtra Mile, and Reuben had been forced to keep the label. Once more unsigned, the music group decided to go on a fresh project — an unbiased film chronicling existence within an underground rock-band. Filmed as the bandmembers had been playing displays, rehearsing, documenting, and whilst working their day time jobs, the completed DVD was offered while Reuben embarked on another tour in Feb 2007. Upon the tour’s conclusion, the band setup its label, Hideous Information, and offered both the Dvd and blu-ray and an EP via its site. Reuben’s third recording, In Nothing at all We Trust, premiered in the summertime of 2007.
