Songwriter Reni Street received her initial big break in ’09 2009, when “Place for Us” — the leadoff monitor from her debut recording, Set — was picked while the theme music for VH1’s actuality series Secrets of Aspen. An Oregon indigenous, she had shifted to Virginia during her years as a child and continued to be there through senior high school, and she going north to wait Columbia University.
