While she’s in no way a straight-ahead blues artist, vocalist and songwriter Reneé Austin has great potential to bring many new fans towards the idiom. Appealing, intelligent, and an excellent showperson, Austin was created in NORTH PARK and elevated in Texas, we were young steeped in Tx roadhouse blues and soul-blues, in addition to gospel music. Special Chat, Austin’s 2003 debut for the San Francisco-based Blind Pig Information label, continues to be perfectly received. Austin was raised in Kingsland, TX, and started performing as a young child. Encouraged to keep performing by her parents, by enough time she was an adolescent she’d created her initial few music.
