Rene Lopez II was created August 6, 1969, the boy of the Italian mom and Puerto Rican salsa musician, Rene Lopez, Sr., who performed trumpet using the Ray Barretto Orchestra and Tipica ’73, rings precious by New York’s Latin community. Younger Lopez was playing drums before he could examine, turning first to rock and roll & roll and finally to spirit, R&B, and funk. He stepped out from behind the drum package to become business lead singer from the Specialist in the past due ’80s. The group privately released two CDs before splitting up in 1995. Lopez was also an associate of jam music group Wasabi during this time period, and in 1997 he started dealing with ex-Blind Melon guitarist Rogers Stevens, composing tracks with Stevens to get a music group that became Extra Virgin. With Pat Sansone on bass and keyboards, Extra Virgin documented an recording, Twelve Tales Large, at Daniel Lanois’ Kingsway Studio room in New Orleans. Made by Mike Napolitano, Twelve Tales High premiered in 1999. Lopez started to concentrate on a single career, liberating an EP, I UNDERSTAND What I Discover, in 2003, accompanied by his full-length debut, One Man’s Yr (which presented Lopez on drums, vocals, Clavinet, keyboards, and acoustic, electrical, baritone, and Country wide Metal guitars), released on Liberation Information in 2005.
