Dangling in the amazing clique of fashionable London celebs along with designer Henry Holland and designs Alexa Chung and Agyness Deyn, celebrity/singer Remi Nicole metamorphosized from a tabloid at the mercy of a good Island Records documenting designer in 2006. Sense unrewarded by her performing role within the English sci-fi humor series Hyperdrive, the part-English, part-Trinidadian 22 yr old, considered her first enthusiasm: music. While still in the training stages, her 1st solo recording, My Conscience and I, spawned two charting singles “COMPLETELY FED UP” and “Mr. Sunlight.” Chalking up this recording as tentative record of demos rather than an effective debut, she dove in to the Motown-by-way-of-London ’60s woman group audio popularized by Amy Winehouse on her behalf second recording. After creating the majority of the record in a set, playing keyboards, acoustic guitar, and drums herself, she required it to Grammy-earning maker Mark Taylor to combine it down and polish it up. Cupid Take Me premiered by Isle in August of 2009, and was defined by Nicole upon its discharge as an record about “not really being in like.” Using the discharge of her initial single in the album, “Position Tears Aside,” her success grew, which just made the melody “Tabloid Queen” even more fitting.
