Relic

French rap group Relic shaped in the community of Argenteuil in 1996. Composed of MCs Antar, Chodo, and Manscaro alongside DJ Soft, the group spent another several years showing up on countless mixtapes and producing numerous cameo performances before landing an area in the high-profile soundtrack to filmmaker Kader Ayd’s 2000’s criminal offense picture Old College. It still got Relic another four years to property a record offer, and in 2004 the quartet released its debut full-length, Légende Urbaine, credit scoring a mainstream pop strike using the wry “Simply Wedded.” Loin des Apparences implemented two years afterwards.
