Reid Anderson

Originally from Minneapolis, Reid Anderson emerged among the most promising bassists and composers in the brand new York jazz scene. He researched traditional music at Philadelphia’s Curtis Institute of Music, graduating in 1993. Upon arriving in NY in 1994, he started dealing with like-minded youthful players such as for example Tag Turner, Jorge Rossy, Ethan Iverson, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Costs McHenry. Anderson provides released several great albums on the new Audio/New Talent label, and he co-leads an acclaimed trio known as the Poor Plus with Iverson and drummer David Ruler. Furthermore, Anderson also fronts his very own rock band, sunlight, that he sings and has guitar.
