Regatta 69

Emerging from your fertile indie rock and roll community of Chapel Hill, NC, the ska-punk quintet Regatta 69 comprised vocalist/bassist Brian Hill, guitarist Lee Flythe, tenor saxophonist Whit Robertson, trombonist Andy Francis, and drummer Joby DeCoster. Issuing a self-titled debut LP in 1992, Regatta 69 also constructed a broad fanbase by touring relentlessly, touring the country within their classic Greyhound bus; after 1995’s Body fat Free, they authorized to the Moon Ska label release a their third work, 1997’s Prime Period. Skattered, Smothered, Covered was released three years later on.
