Refused

Important Swedish hardcore band Refused were shaped in 1991 by vocalist Dennis Lyxzén, guitarists Jon Brännström and Kristofer Steen, bassist Magnus Höggren, and drummer David Sandström. Debuting in 1993 using the EP This is actually the New Offer, the group released the full-length This MIGHT JUST Be…the reality afterwards that same year. The Everlasting EP implemented in 1994, and in 1995 Refused came back with another EP, Refused Adores Randy. After 1996’s Music to Enthusiast the Flames of Discontent, they released the EP Rather End up being Deceased; in the wake of completing 1998’s common THE FORM of Punk to Arrive, Refused disbanded, struggling to reconcile their anarchist leanings using a profession in music. Pursuing their break up, Lyxzén continued to create the (International) Sound Conspiracy, while additional members created Text message, among other part projects. The entire break up lasted until 2008, when Lyxzén and Sandström shaped hardcore clothing AC4. A year or two later Epitaph Information caused a mix among the band’s cult pursuing after publishing the cryptic message “JUST AROUND THE CORNER” within the older Refused site. Speculation proceeded to go into overdrive in regards to a feasible reunion, before it had been announced that the advertising have been for the reissued edition of THE FORM of Punk to Arrive, which came packed using a live record and Steen’s documentary Refused Are Fucking Deceased. In 2012 BBC Radio 1’s Mike Davies announced the entire reunion of both Refused with the Drive-In, using the Swedish music group confirming rumours of its slated appearance at Coachella that calendar year. Following announcement, Refused verified a bunch of summer celebration performances, before indicating that their re-formation was for 2012 just. To cover off their calendar year, they returned with their hometown of Umeå in Dec for a particular performance. These were honored the “Particular Award for Swedish Music Exports” with the Minister of Trade in 2013, and in 2014 Jon Brännström still left the music group. Despite declaring their reunion was limited and then 2012, these were announced for the 2015 Reading and Leeds Celebrations. Their fourth studio room record, Independence, was slated for discharge in 2015, arriving 17 years following the Form of Punk to Arrive. They documented with Nick Launay (Nick Cave & the Poor Seeds, Getting rid of Joke), while also embracing Swedish pop manufacturer/songwriter Shellback — whose credits consist of Taylor Swift and Britney Spears — for business lead one “Elektra.”
