Reeve Oliver is really a three-piece indie rock-band from NORTH PARK, CA, which blends the nervy energy of punk-pop using the lightly mopey affect of emo even though embracing the best guitar strike of rings like Dinosaur Jr. as well as the Pixies. Reeve Oliver premiered in 1999 by guitarist and vocalist Sean O’Donnell, who got played in a number of other rings while having to pay the lease as an entertainer at Ocean Globe (he was the starting work for the dolphins). While Reeve Oliver started as O’Donnell’s single task, in 2002 he made a decision to consider his songs from the bedroom and into California’s rock and roll night clubs, recruiting his friend and fellow Ocean World worker Brad Davis to try out drums. As O’Donnell and Davis sought out a bass participant after many early recruits didn’t workout, they discovered themselves writing a rehearsal space with set up San Diego music group Fluf, and O’Donnell’s tracks caught the hearing of Fluf frontman Otisserie Bartimus (generally just known as “O”), who volunteered to try out bass in the brand new music group. Bartimus clicked with O’Donnell and Davis, and in 2003 the music group self-released a six-song EP attracted from their demos known as Reevolution. Towards the band’s shock, Reevolution earned the award for Greatest Rock Record of 2003 on the NORTH PARK Music Awards, though it wasn’t a complete record and hadn’t received appropriate distribution; the honor drew some welcome focus on Reeve Oliver, resulting in a spot around the 2004 Warped Tour along with a street trip opening for his or her close friends Yellowcard. Reeve Oliver’s self-titled debut recording premiered in nov 2004 from the impartial label The Militia Group, and after solid evaluations and considerable touring the music group was authorized to Capitol Information in 2006; their 1st major-label set is usually expected to become released in the summertime of 2007.
