Red Tail Chasing Hawks

Representing the mixed efforts of cedar flute player and vocalist Calvin Standing up Carry and piano and keyboard player James Torres, Red Tail Chasing after Hawk combines Native American musical traditions and spirit-driven melodies. Although Standing up Carry and Torres hail from different heritages, their like of music acts as a robust bridge. A full-blooded Rosebud Sioux, elevated around the Rosebud Booking in South Dakota, Standing up Carry inherited his innovative skills from his dad, Chief Luther Standing up Carry, and grandfather, Main Silas Standing up Carry. While his dad continues to are a traditional vocalist and lecturer on Local American spirituality, his grandfather offers written numerous content articles and books including My People the Sioux, THE STORYPLOT from the Sioux, Property of the Noticed Eagle, and My Indian Boyhood. Although he sang inside a chapel choir and trained himself to try out guitar, as a young child he uncovered his organic musical tone of voice after switching towards the cedar flute. Position Bear is a highlighted soloist using the Colorado Chorale beneath the path of Dr. Daniel L. Sophistication. He teaches religious drumming, Local American flute, and performing. Torres has well balanced his Chiricahua Apache and Mexican-American traditions with his like of Latin music, using such Latin music artists as Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Willie Digestive tract, Flora Purim, and Airto Moreira.
