Red Snapper

Notable because of their pioneering synthesis of acoustic instruments and digital textures, the United kingdom acid solution jazz trio Crimson Snapper comprised guitarist David Ayers, dual bassist Ali Friend, and drummer Richard Thair. Produced in 1993, the group’s debut EP, The Snapper, made an appearance the following springtime; after two even more EPs, Swank and Sizzling hot Flush, the music group authorized to the acclaimed Warp Information, where their early singles had been later put together as Reeled & Skinned. The full-length Prince Blimey premiered in 1996, adopted two years later on by their American debut Producing Bones. After liberating yet another LP, Our Goal Would be to Satisfy Crimson Snapper, the trio break up in 2002. (Thair shaped a new music group, Toob, while Friend done a soundtrack and Ayers collaborated with Alan McGee and Felix Tod.) Compilations, remix albums, and stray paths happy the faithful until a 2007 reunion along with a 2008 EP, Pale Blue Dot. The recording Key adopted in 2011 and presented guest looks from vocalists Eliza Carthy and Gavin Clarke. In 2013, the group toured having a reissued printing from the ’70s Senegalese street film Touki Bouki. Their associated soundtrack for the film’s reissue premiered in 2014 because the recording Hyena.
