Swedish indie pop quartet Crimson Sleeping Beauty was shaped in Stockholm in 1989 by singer Kristina Borg, singer/guitarist Niklas Angergård, guitarist Mikael Matsson from the Shermans, and bassist Carl Johan Näsström. The group debuted in early 1993 using the Marshmarigold EP Pop Noises, followed a calendar year later by initiatives for the American label Somersault (“Periods Transformation”) and japan imprint Motorway (the very best from the Pops EP). Crimson Sleeping Beauty continuing their worldwide label-hopping in 1995, issuing the Smile EP over the American imprint Weekend and embracing Spain’s Siesta for the three-song Prosperity of Details. After time for Germany’s Marshmarigold, the group released its initial full-length work, Bedroom, afterwards that same season. Within the wake from the 1997 Siesta LP Soundtrack, Crimson Sleeping Beauty disbanded, though in 2000, Siesta released a compilation of singles, entitled Singles. Angergård continued to target his energies on his various other music group, the Acid Home Kings, while Matsson performed within the music group the Charade. In 2014, the music group (minus Näsström) returned jointly to record a cover from the Alpaca Sports activities song “Simply for Fun” and “Merry Xmas, Marie” for the holiday season. The reunion continuing using the “Often” one for Shelflife in 2015 along with a well-received efficiency on the 2016 Madrid Popfest. That same season, the trio released their first record in 19 years. Released by Shelflife, Kristina shipped all the soft pop warmth from the band’s prior use an updated, contemporary sound.
