Red Kirk

b. 24 Might 1925, Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. Kirk began playing steel acoustic guitar at seven but transformed to ordinary acoustic guitar and began performing at 10. He offered in america Army during Globe Battle II and on release performed on WNOX Knoxville’sMid Day time Merry-Go-Round andTennessee Barn Dance. He spent 3 years as an associate of Archie Campbell’s touring display but later on his good vocals, similar to Eddy Arnold, noticed him tour and function radio and tv at numerous locations including Dayton, Lexington and Louisville. He also performed on WLS Country wide Barn Dance in Chicago, theBig “D” Jamboree in Dallas as well as the Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport and produced guest appearances around the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. He produced his 1st recordings for Mercury in 1949, on some becoming accompanied by mentioned session music artists that included Jerry Byrd (metal acoustic guitar) and Tommy Jackson (fiddle). He later on documented for ABC-Paramount Information, Starday, Dewitt and Great. A compilation of Mercury Information was later on reissued with an album by way of a German label in 1988.
