Red Ellis

b. Marvin Thrushel Ellois, 21 Dec 1929, Arkadelphia, USA. Ellis discovered to try out both acoustic guitar and mandolin in his early teenagers and was double wounded during armed service services in the Korean Battle. After his release, he studied audio and video executive in Little Rock and roll before, in 1955, he relocated to Michigan. He done r / c as an engineer and from 1957, he also worked well like a disc jockey showing bluegrass gospel music. A a friendly relationship with Jimmy Williams, who got used the Stanley Brothers, resulted in them recording collectively and developing the Huron Valley Kids, a music group that contains fellow southern music artists who were after that citizen in Michigan. In 1959/60, they documented for Starday with Ellis actually supervising the executive; these sessions shaped the foundation of seven EPs and later on albums. He shaped his personal Pathway label in the middle-60s, recorded along with his wife Agee, and in addition worked on classes using a gospel group, the Crossmen. In 1986, Aged Homestead released albums of a few of his Pathway materials. He came back to Arkansas in 1968, where he proved helpful as video engineer at KATV Small Rock and roll. In 1971, he and Williams reunited to record two albums for Jessup. Following this, although he and Williams possess occasionally played jointly at some particular events, Ellis practically retired from energetic performing.
