Rebel Kind

Rebel Kind is a Michigan-based indie pop group fronted by vocalist/songwriter Fall months Wetli, formerly of eclectic garage-psych music group Poor Indians (who passed the name the Rebel Kind for his or her first demonstration). Wetli have been composing solo materials that was more supple and even more introspective compared to the frequently raucous materials by Poor Indians, and she began performing solo models and launching demos as Rebel Kind around 2012. The studio room album Some Factors Were Just Designed to Modification, documented with Jules Nehring and having a reverb-heavy jangle pop sound, made an appearance in early 2013. The single acoustic record Laurel Canyon was documented by Fred Thomas, who released it being a one-sided LP and limited cassette on his REAL LIFE imprint in June of 2013. For this period, Rebel Kind started performing as a complete music group, with Wetli became a member of by multi-instrumentalists/vocalists Amber Fellows and Shelley Salant, both previous people of surf-pop quartet Swimsuit. Rebel Kind’s full-band debut record, Today, premiered by Urinal Wedding cake Information in 2014. In early 2016, Wetli released a single EP entitled Let’s Keep Factors Weird, featuring efforts from Fellows and Salant. By the end of the entire year, Urinal Wedding cake released Rebel Kind’s Simply for Fools LP. Alex Glendering of Deadbeat Defeat provided back-up vocals and electric guitar on some tracks, and he finished up getting the band’s 4th member.
