RebbeSoul

The one-man act Rebbe Soul grew out of founder/producer/vocalist/guitarist Bruce Burger’s love for Hebrew music. Burger was presented towards the music as a kid but quickly gravitated to rock and roll & move, which seemed an improved vehicle for the guitarist in the first ’90s. After kicking throughout the Los Angeles rock and roll club scene for quite some time, Burger reacquainted himself using the previous Hebrew melodies simply for fun. His very own psychological response to it, not forgetting the frustrating positive response from co-workers and fellow music artists, inspired him to create and record the 1st Rebbe Spirit album, basically entitled Rebbe, in 1995. While Rebbe was primarily made up of English-language originals, the Hebrew tracks received probably the most interest from listeners and people from the music market. One song specifically, entitled “Avinu,” garnered an enormous response when it had been performed on San Francisco’s jazz train station KKSF. Album product sales and support from a Jewish and non-Jewish group of fans encouraged Burger to make a second Rebbe Spirit recording, Fringe of Blue. The electrical rendition of “Avinu” on Fringe gained rave evaluations from critics at Playboy Journal and NY Jewish Week. The achievement of Burger’s one-man work up up to now influenced fellow Jewish designer Richard Krevolin to create him a one-man single theatre piece entitled, quite logically, Rebbe Soul-O. The theatrical display and associated album appeal to viewers due to the down-to-earth shade, catchy and gorgeous melodies, as well as the easy to get at story line (a modern-day youth connects along with his faith while finding his musical tone of voice). He countinued his result having a One Man Musical Trip in 1998 and Modification the World Having a Sound in 2002. Rebbe Soul’s functions, previous and present, single or along with a six-piece music group, have become well-known among the Jewish community. The group travels regularly, executing at major locations and celebrations from Washington, D.C., to LA to Boston. Burger is the creator and business lead guitarist of globe music music group Common Tongue.
