New Jersey’s PROPERTY stake their state to a warm, hazy design of indie rock and roll with breezy melodies. The music group was created in Ridgewood by business lead vocalist/guitarist Martin Courtney (Predator Eyesight and previously Titus Andronicus), guitarist Matthew Mondanile (Ducktails), bassist Alex Bleeker (Alex Bleeker & the Freaks), and drummer Etienne Duguay (Predator Eyesight). The foursome experienced played collectively in rings — including a Weezer cover music group — during senior high school, but didn’t become PROPERTY until Courtney came back to the Backyard State after going to university in Olympia, Washington.
